Pilates Classes with Elise
Individual and Group Classes
All classes are 55 minutes in length. Elise has outlined some basic information on each class to help clientele determine which might be the best fit, based on their ability and experience.
Pilates Mat Classes are designed to strengthen the core muscles and enhance flexibility, posture and body awareness. These are group classes in which the individual is encouraged to work at the level appropriate for them. The modifications offered in this class means that whether you’re new to Pilates or a seasoned practitioner, you’ll be challenged.
As the name suggests, this is the best place to start for those new to Pilates and teaches the basic principles of Pilates. The recommendation is to complete six of these Beginners classes before moving onto the Pilates Mat Classes.
For this class, a fitball is used. Being on an unstable surface and providing a greater range of motion, really adds an extra challenge to stabilising and strengthening your core. It is advisable that clients are competent in Pilates Mat before tackling this class. Clients are required to bring their own fitball along to classes.
This is High Intensity Interval Training. This is a half hour workout that will definately get your heart rate up! Suitable for all levels, bring running shoes and water.
